Top Bop Moments of Saturday

1. Holly dancing to her own DJ set.
2. Holly playing Buffy and then Erasure. Inspired.
3. Flamingo's Bop boyfriend coming back for a second month. No we don't know him and can never speak to him because he is so hott/good at dancing, but we like to watch him. His 'Vogue' was stunning.
4. Belly, Hawnay Troof, Elastica, Dusty, Hollaback Girl, Dirrrty.
5. Charlotte's dancing during the Sonics.

On Sunday we went to Greenwich to see the SE London wing of the Savage operation. We invented a new board game in the pub by combining Scrabble and X-Men Uno to make Scruno. It was fiendish. Even we didn't understand the rules. I think Flamingo won in the end.

Now I'm trying hard to finish another chapter off, but I find it really difficult to actually finish anything. I keep leaving little bits til later, just reading it through one more time, blah blah. This morning I also plucked up the courage to ring the college student records office and check my submission dates and everything and it got me so sweaty and nervous I had to come online to calm down. I've just looked up the list of thesis binders as well and I should really go and ring one of them and ask how long it will take to bind my masterpiece. If it's longer than 5 days I may well be screwed, so it's best to find out now right? I'm calm, I'm breathing. Ahhh.

Arrgghh.

dirrty is indeed a bop classic.

just for you, here's my music press quote of the day. this is one of the very best - something from a live review of Oasis:
"like Elton’s ‘Candle in the Wind’, they’re beyond questions of ‘good taste’. Tonight Oasis are just about emotion" (Select 11/97).

The Sonics! My favourite music to dance to. The Bop was very lovely. I liked the pole dancer - he must've done that before.
